Session guitarist Dennis Coffey was a dominant figure in Detroit during the early '70s. He recorded fusion and jazz-rock for Sussex, but gained more recognition doing dates with Marvin Gaye (I Want You), R.J.'s Latest Arrival, the Temptations, the Jackson 5, and David Ruffin. His new album of instrumental jazz, « Flight of the Phoenix,» is now available for download.

The Reverse Engineers have re-released the official anthem of Cyberday 1.0 in Weed format. Cyberday, which is always the day after Earth Day, is an « environmental movement to protect cyberspace, natures most precious man made resource. » More seriously, at the time when it was initiated, Cyberday was a creative way to promote their latest song. All of this, of course, was meant as a joke, but many people took the band seriously.

And last but not least, Trey Gunn has Weedified his « One Thousand Years,» « The Joy of Molybdenum,» and « Live Encounter » albums. Gunn, a native Texan who now resides in Seattle began his musical life at the age of 7 playing classical piano. His interest in music grew through various instruments; electric bass, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, and now the touch guitar. He has toured and recorded with Sunday All Over The World, Toni Childs, The Robert Fripp String Quintet, David Sylvian, Vernon Reid, Michael Brook, Eric Johnson, David Hykes of the Harmonic Choir and King Crimson.
