New Player

A major step forward: the new Winamp 5.03 plays Weed files!

New Sites

• Cool Like Ice Recordings features some of the most popular dance/trance artists on the internet.
• CD-ME Online Music Store offers Weed files and a large selection of ready made CDs by UK unsigned bands and artist.
• Mark Hansen's uplifting and powerful rock music is available for download in the Weed format on his new website.

New Starter Kits

SML has officially launched its "DIY On-Line Music Stores" campaign to promote a new program that lets music fans quickly put together a customized, legal music download web site:

The quickest way to start selling Weed files is to download a Weed Starter Kit in any style of music you like, then download the Weed software, and buy all the files with your free $5 account balance. From there, you'll make money when anyone you share a file with buys it.

New Tool for ICPs

Underware has released Weed Exporter, a freeware tool that simplifies the creation of files containing repetitive sections of Windows Media files metadata, primarily intended for the creation of content record files for SML's Content Tool, but which can also be used to generate Windows Media Playlists, HTML documents, and CSV files for WeedDex.com.

New Music

Electrovoce is proud to announce new tracks by composer and fretless guitarist Tom Baker.

The Fweedom Lodge has another tasty track from Kaion.

ChristianWeed.com introduces Louis Tata to the Weed community.

New weeds from Cerotonine, Dread Daze, and Michael McCabe have sprouted up in the Weed File Garden.

OnlineBands offers tracks from new artists Nocturnal Secretions and Joe Markus.

Jeff Barlow's music is available on weedgroove.

Cool Like Ice Recordings introduces the music of Jez D.

weed harvest features 5 new songs by Matthew Shadley Band, and a new live song by Staring At The Sea.

All the songs from The Jealous Type's first record "Vaguely About a Girl" are now available on DownloadWeed.com.

Weedtunes is happy to have OHM as part of the Weed system. Make sure you check out their "Forget who we are" video.
