With John Langton on guitar and vocals, Jeff Posner on drums, and Mark Adamoyurka on bass, Porcelain takes a hard, driving, modern rock rhythm and marries it to thought-provoking, melodic vocals. Porcelain blends raw sincerity with harmonic sensibility and multimedia. Their live show is not to be missed. Check the gig listings at www.porcelainrocks.com.
"...Porcelain have range and a great ear for catchy hooks. Not too heavy, not too light. If commercial radio were playing stuff like this, I'd listen to it..." - Joe Hacking, The Noise: Rock Around Boston

New sites
New to the webring of Weed download sites is RadioDevil, an indie music broadcasting streamer with an interactive site bringing the community of artists and fans together.
The following weeds have also sprouted up recently:
Humanizer.com is a Weed publishing company bringing you the best entertainment the world has to offer, across many genres, from music of all sorts to spoken word and short media logs, poetry to street theatre. The site currently features Ricky Vacca's 2003 Album "Songs for Sale".
Hungry Media aims to be your best source for Weed format electronic music and proposes the music of Harland and Hungry Lucy.
Ozmusicweed is an Australian music download and indie resource site that lists artists Function and Velma.
The FWeedom Lodge has music from a selection of artists from Britain and Japan, including Method In Madness, The Ultimate Force, and Danny Stewart.
In his imagination, Tem Noon is being created by two characters, on two separate worlds which are in separate galaxies which are in separate universes. One is "imagination" and one is "real". Each writes a story about the other. In the same notebook.
The Teaching Seed offers downloadable educational songs for children, teens, and learners of all ages.
Uberlabel is a digital music label that was founded to promote musicians of all kinds and help release their music to the world and get a fair profit from their creative work. They also offers free web hosting and websites for musicians and independent labels.
WeedBuzz is dedicated to bringing you only the very best Weed songs out there.
The Fine Arts Militia, a five-man group founded when Public Enemy main man Chuck D connected with ex-Bootsy Collins bass player/producer Hardgroove, is now part of the evergrowing Weed family, thanks to DownloadWeed.com. New tracks from Jeff Greinke, Billy Atwell, and The Semibeings have also been added to the site, and the existing files from the latter have been reencoded at a much sweeter 160 Kbps.
Jack Lavoie's songs tell tales, share secrets, and spread the message of hope and compassion in a world where, as he says with a smile and a wink:
... life is tough, life is beautiful, life is love...
Jack's voice is sometimes compared to Mick Jagger's or The New Radical's Greg Alexander, his musical mood as a cross between Lou Reed and Sheryl Crow (yes, we know... it's hard to imagine), and his charismatic stage presence to that of much more experienced artists. But as Jack puts it:
I love listening to all kinds of music and seeing all kinds of performers for all kinds of reasons, inspiration, motivation, relaxation, energizing. So my circle of influence is pretty wide, but as for comparisons, what can I say except, thanks, I welcome the kind words, and I channel it all into becoming the best I can at what I do.
Weed Warehouse now hosts the Weed Developers Forum, dedicated to creating tools to build better Weed sites and make those tools freely available to the whole community.
New feature
An interview with artist Richard Dunlap, the first in a weekly series of "Weed Artist Spotlight" featuring Weed artists and ICPs, is now available on pianist/composer Loren DiGiorgi's revamped site.
New music
The WeedStash has the music of Finespun, a mix of indie rock and alternative that puts them somewhere near the territory of superstardom of acts like Pearl Jam and Creed, and Koan, an independent Canadian Band based out of the city of Edmonton.
8 new songs are up at ChristianWeed.com from Dave Byers's album, "Closer To Home".
Now available at the Weed File Garden, flutist Dr. David Klee's album "River of Emotions", Analog Dreamer's album "Allure Fiction", and Kory Livingstone's fairy tale "The Billy Goats Gruff", a children's story of over 18 minutes in length. Also, by popular demand, The Fading Collection tracks have been upgraded from 128k to 192k.
The Weed Files is proud to introduce two new artists to the Weed community:
TIBIA is a versatile Canadian artist born in Montréal (Québec). Played bass in several pop-rock original and cover bands, as well as with a jazz harpist and a children's entertainer. Now based in Toronto (Ontario). Influences: classic rock and some alternative, folk, jazz, funk, fusion & world music artists.
Here's what he had to say about "Not Crazy":
This song evolved from a "crazy" bass line I've been obsessed with for years and my perception of my dad's mental illness when I was a teen. I may never fully understand it, but I want to help people who deal directly and indirectly with such problems by donating all proceeds to the World Federation for Mental Health. Thank you for supporting a good cause!
First Night on Earth is the vision of founder Wes Grasty (vocals, acoustic guitar), formerly a member of the band Laburnum.
No One Knows Anything For Sure, First Night on Earth's first release, is born of Grasty's gestation of songs and complimentary choice of musicians including Stephen Yount (guitar), Chris London (bass), Vance Carlisle (drums) and Tina Cargill (keys, backing vocals). First Night on Earth has created songs which are an effortless combination of both shimmering electronica and minimalist indie-pop. The band has drawn praise and comparisons to everything from dream-pop, new-shoegaze, emo, and the indie-rock formats.
Winter or not, this Weed keeps on growing! Here's some more news:
