Here's a quick roundup of what's going on in the Weed community.

Three sites have been added to weed sharing:

  • Ozone333 offers techno, trance, dance, goa, underground, rave, electronica, house, funky, weird, film, & jazzy music. Many albums are already on-line.

  • Zerotec helps independent artists and labels get music out there. Founded by Coco from Man or Astro-man?, the site has over 60 files, among which you'll find selections from The Autumns, Fugu, Tahiti 80, Komeda, and Children's Hour.

  • Electrovoce is committed to bringing quality classical music to the web and is proud to announce it's first artist: Bret Battey. Bret is currently on the faculty at the University of Washington and is a first class composer specializing in electro-acoustic and computer generated music.

The Weed Stash announces the addition of Rob Roy to its roster. Rob has written many songs over the years, plays guitar, some keyboards and sings with a 5 octaves vocal range. Haunting melodies and soaring vocals give this singer/songwriter a unique sound.

Helios Creed, former brainchild of Subterranean noise outfit Chrome (1977-1982), began his solo career in 1985 with the release of X-rated Fairy Tales, and has released an additional 17 records since. Two tracks from Helios are now available on DownloadWEED.com. These are noisy, swirling, dark psychedelic tracks, and feature the added talents of Daniel House (DownloadWEED.com's webmaster) on bass, and Jason Finn (Presidents of the United States of America, Skin Yard, Love Battery) on drums.

The latest additions to the Ars Divina Weed File Garden include the "on the edge" electronic music of The Noisettes and the piano jazz of Kory Livingstone.

4 new BackseatGodz songs have been added to weedtunes.com's catalog. A couple of power ballads and a couple of hard rockin' metal tunes. Fans of "Pull Ahead" will also like "Your Needs" and "SummertimeGiftBag". Check them all out. Tim Airhart has a great voice and the tunes are meant to be played LOUD. Also, Seattle producer Jonathan Plum has produced some heavyweights in his 15 years in the industry and will be bringing some top notch music to the site.

New distribution site weedtracks.com features the music of Kyara and Vallesca.

Meanwhile, here at The Weed Files HQ, I have been busy working with artists to bring new content into the system. Expect new music soon!
